United to protect our youth
Goal 1
Ensure that each county in the State of California has an active anti-drug coalition, working with their local constituents, city/county and state-wide partner organizations to combat youth drug use and drug legalization efforts.
Goal 2
Increase the perceived harmfulness among in the use of different illegal drugs as well as alcohol, tobacco and prescription drug abuse.
Goal 3
Increase the rate among youth of those disapproving of friends' regular use of illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco and prescription drug abuse.
Goal 4
Reduce the rate of perceived prevalence of illegal drugs, alcohol tobacco and prescription drug abuse.

Reduce the prevalence of current substance use among youth
Priority 2
Prevent or at least delay the onset of first-time use of substances
Priority 3
Support existing anti-drug coalitions while building new coalitions, covering the State of California
Objective 1
Increase the ability of parents and adults to discourage youth substance use
Objective 2
Increase the capacity for youth to influence other youth not to use drugs and to intervene in situations in which drug use is present

Enhance communities anti-drug media and public information campaign
Objective 4
Support and enhance school-based prevention programs
Objective 5
Promote and support community-based and faith-based prevention and intervention programs

Distribute information on the negative consequences of drug legalization

Increase effective and accessible treatment for youthful drug abusers

Support and enhance the evaluation component for all activities undertaken by our Coalition

Assist local programs, initiatives and Coalition members in developing evaluation tools over a 5-year period

Support law enforcement, treatment, prevention and education efforts to curb drug use, production and sales to youth and adults
