Established 2009

Dr. Paul Chabot, a combat veteran returned from a tour of duty in Iraq serving as an intelligence officer with special operations forces. He fought to defend America's values and principles. Upon his return home, he found California, falling further and further down a slippery slope of drug legalization, addiction, crime and violence.

At the age of 12, Paul entered drug rehab for alcohol and marijuana addiction. He never looked back and now has over 24-years of continuous sobriety. His youthful life experiences helped him throughout his law enforcement career, and later as White House Senior Advisor for law enforcement, justice and drug control, followed by assignments with the U.S. Attorney's Office and the U.S. State Department, Office of the Inspector General.

As a professional speaker, Paul traveled to nearly all 50-states working with local leaders on a wide range of topics affecting America's communities. Without hesitation, Paul's passion lies with educating youth about the perils of substance abuse and pushing back against those who threaten the moral fabric of our Nation.

With that experience, Paul and his wife Brenda created the FreeStyle Foundation and the Inland Valley Drug Free Community Coalition. Together, in 2009, they sought out like-minded passionate leaders throughout the state, and founded the Coalition for a Drug Free California.

"California's future lies in the hands of our youth. We must do a better job protecting our communities from the influx of illegal drugs by reducing the onset of youth drug use through prevention efforts while educating parents, enforcing the law (both State and Federal), and stoping the drug legalization movement from dictating health policy"

-Dr. Paul R. Chabot, Ed.D, M.P.A.
